PH-CH PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
Our Company takes the protection and confidentiality of individuals’ personal data very seriously.
We undertake to respect your privacy and to protect access to your personal data (hereinafter “PD”), collecting and using it exclusively in accordance with current legal provisions.
The aim of this Policy is to provide you with completely transparent information on the types of data we collect and the way in which we collect, use and protect your PD.
Our Data Protection Policy can be easily accessed for viewing on our website www.piper-heidsieck.com (hereinafter “Our Site”). We shall endeavour to update it based on regulatory and legislative developments and in accordance with best practices and recommendations issued by the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) [French national commission for information technology and civil liberties]. We therefore invite you to visit this page regularly to ensure that you agree to all its conditions.

It may also be acquired from Companies within our Group or our commercial partners where you have consented to this.
4. For what purposes do we use your data and on what legal basis?
We would like to assure you that the personal data you provide to us is used only for specific and legitimate purposes. It allows us to:

5. Whom do we share your data with? (Who are the recipients of your data?)
We may send your information to third parties such as Our Company’s service providers, our partners or affiliated companies or subsidiaries of our group (“Group Companies”), particularly for the purposes of processing your order or sending our newsletters, or in order to facilitate and optimise our services to you.
We would like to assure you that all of your personal data is confidential, and access to it is restricted to employees of Our Company, service providers and agents of Our Company who require such access to carry out their duties. We guarantee that all of our employees with access to your PD are bound by an obligation of confidentiality and are subject to disciplinary action and/or other penalties if they fail to comply with these obligations.
6. Is your personal data transferred?
If you access Our Site from a country that is not a member of the European Union, and whose legislation regarding the collection, use and transfer of data differs from that of the European Union, given that Our Site is governed by French law, the corresponding terms of use and this Policy, you consent to your PD being transferred to the European Union.
We may also send your data to Group Companies that may be located outside the European Union; this will always be within the context of the purposes listed above. In this case, we would like to assure you prior to the transfer that these entities offer an adequate level of protection, in accordance with applicable legislation.
Under no circumstances will your PD be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area that the European Commission does not already consider to guarantee citizens an adequate level of protection on the date of the transfer.
You can see a list of these countries at the following address: https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection/data-transfers-outside-eu/adequacy-protection-personal-data-non-eu-countries_en)
7. For what purposes do we use cookies, targeting and social plugins?
Our Company uses small text files (also known as cookies) left on your hard drive when you visit Our Site. They save information, such as your language preference, the length of your visit and the pages viewed. These cookies help us to provide you with a smoother browsing experience on Our Site, and to analyse our users’ browsing and use habits to create statistics that will help us to improve the presentation of our products and communications.
You can customise your settings for these cookies in your browser. If you want to prevent them from being stored on your hard drive, you can select “Block cookies” in your browser settings.
Some of the functions on Our Site (sharing content on social media, direct playback of videos) depend on services offered by third-party sites. These functions leave cookies that allow them, among other things, to track your browsing and thereby analyse your browsing habits, measure Our Site’s audience and your interests and provide you with targeted offers. These cookies will not be left without your agreement. You can find out about the types of cookies left and accept or block them either globally for the entire Site and all services, or on a service-by-service basis.
You can also delete the cookies already left on your computer at any time. However, in this case, when you browse on Our Site, some functions will no longer be accessible and the Site will no longer function optimally. We accept no liability for this.

Your data allows us to communicate with you as part of our marketing campaigns (by email or post) and to keep you informed of Our Company’s news and new products that might interest you.
9. For how long is your data retained?
Our Company does not retain your PD for longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is collected. The retention period is therefore limited based on the purpose of the processing and applicable legislation.
Data related to our customer base is therefore retained for the entire duration of the business relationship, plus 3 years for sales and marketing purposes, without prejudice to applicable retention obligations or limitation periods, where these exist.
Data related to prospective customers is retained for a period of 3 years from the last contact with Our Company.
10. What security measures do we apply to your data?
Our Company protects the PD collected and keeps it secure. We would like to assure you that we maintain its confidentiality and prevent it from being altered, damaged, destroyed or disclosed to unauthorised third parties.
We have therefore taken appropriate physical, electronic and organisational protective measures to prevent any loss, misuse, unauthorised access or dissemination, alteration or destruction of your personal data.
These protective measures include the use of technologies specially designed to protect your PD when it is transferred. However, despite these efforts, Our Company cannot guarantee the infallibility of such protection because of the inevitable risks that can arise during data transfer in general. For this reason, we recommend that you exercise caution in order to prevent any unauthorised access to your PD. In particular, to prevent breaches of your PD, do not forget to close your session if you are using a computer that may be shared. You are reminded that you are responsible for the confidentiality of your password and the information included in your account.

You may also withdraw your consent for us to collect and use your data for marketing purposes or for sending our newsletters, at any time and again without having to provide a reason, by clicking on the hyperlink at the bottom of our messages or by sending an email to: contact.piperheidsieck@champagnes-ph-ch.com .
